Our Vision and Values

We believe it is important for us to regularly examine what it is that makes RUN distinctive, what is our passion and what do we believe is God's call upon us as a movement?

We remain totally committed to equipping the church to reach this generation with the gospel. Our values are not intended to be a complete theological statement but rather reflect something of the thrust of RUN's ministry.

Mission Statement:
'Equipping churches to reach unchurched people'

Purpose:
Encouraging emerging forms of church to effectively communicate Christ to contemporary cultures. Promoting mission strategies within existing congregations to reach those who do not yet believe.

Values:
In matters of faith RUN subscribes to the Evangelical Alliance statement of faith. In issues of conviction the following principles are pivotal.

Cultural Relevance
Sharing a never-changing message to an ever-changing world in a way that people can understand. Recognising that coming to faith is a process and that people will respond differently according to what stage they are at on the journey.

Relational Community
Engaging with society means developing relationships that give a sense of belonging and opens the door to belief for those who are spiritually seeking. An atmosphere of warmth and love is intensely attractive in a culture that is often perceived as remote and uncaring.

Spiritual Encounter
Supplying information about God through programme driven services is not enough; church needs to be a place of spiritual engagement where seekers have the opportunity of experiencing Him personally.

Creative Excellence
We have an infinitely imaginative God who takes delight in the diversity of His creation; our service for Him should reflect that aspect of His character. Churches should be committed to excellence and integrity, adopting models of ministry appropriate to the culture within which they serve.

Visionary Leadership
New forms of pioneering leadership are required for new forms of church. The empowerment for ministry of every member is a vital key to growth and helps to equip the leaders of the future.

RUN is a Registered Charity (No. 1080435) and also a member of the Evangelical Alliance.
